We stayed there for five days, the first day they didn't clean the room, the second day we complained at the front desk, so that day they cleaned the room, but for some reason, the other days they didn't make up the bed, also they never supplied any more of those plastic cups for water after the initial 3 or 4. The internet was really slow at times, expecially at night. The air conditioner was really noisy. Also, they advertise a shuttle to the metro station, about a mile away, but unless you go at 8, 9 and 10 am and get back at 6, 7 and 8 pm, you're on your own. Now this would have been OK at a cheap mothel, but we paid one hundred dollars a night for the business king room. This was in late October 2010.

We have stayed at Red Roof Inn motels in the past and always were happy with the quality of room accommodations and service they provided. On this quick trip, however, we were disappointed. We did not mind that we had full size beds (we had booked fairly late), but we did not expect to have a rough running air conditioner that was noisy when turning on and off. Their emphasis on "going green" meant one tiny wastebasket in the room, (their preferred) limited linen supply and housekeeping, and a watersaving commode in the bathroom which was cause for concern (at the desk they gave us a plunger!). We were surprised to experience this at Red Roof; they did not seem up & running and ready to receive guests. We also missed paper/stationery and a quality guide to nearby shopping areas, grocery stores and restaurants in this area new to us. We were looking forward to being able to staying connected, however, the Wi-Fi was very weak and did not offer a strong, steady connection, a point of frustration. We did get along all right, but for a quick trip that was a rare getaway for us, and an important meeting to attend, we really missed the special amenities Red Roof has provided us in the past.

If you are looking for a BASIC place to put your head down, then this is the place. Clean, good shower, good bed but lumpy hypoalergenic pillows. The HVAC unit was a little noisy and difficult to regulate. Probably good value for the price. "
