When we arrived there was a lot of construction to the point the gps was confused. The room was a non-suite with a very loud heater that rattled all night. I was apologized to but other than that nothing was done to make me feel better. I left and went to the Marriott Tysons corner just because I did not want to give Embassy Suites any more money seeing how my sleep there was not peaceful.

This was our first (and last) stay at an Embassy Suites hotel. We were attending a family function and drove 7 hours to reach our destination. Once we arrived at the hotel and checked in, there were children running circles inside the corridors in the hotel and of course, the noise traveled throughout the hotel. There was no supervision or anyone to control the situation. It was a beautiful day outside and the children could have been running and making noise outdoors instead of subjecting hotel guests to the noise. We would not recommend this hotel to any traveler who expects to get some rest from a long drive.

It takes close to a 30 minute shuttle ride to get to Metro station and then a 35 minute ride to the city. Coming back to hotel took over an hour wait for the shuttle plus then another 30 minute ride to the hotel. the traffic in this area is horrendous. I recommend spending more and staying closer to the attractions of washington dc.
