When people review a hotel, they should just review the HOTEL! Traffic , restaurants etc. shouldn't come into it. Yes, the traffic is confusing in the area, but it is a busy suburban location. The hotel itself has a beautiful lobby, the staff was very professional, yet friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, though just a bit worn. The entrance to the hotel from the street should have better lighting, it would be easy to miss the hotel at night. The pool and hot tub were fine, though the hot tub should have been hotter.

We stayed here with 3 kids driving back to CT from SC. It was a good "rest stop" to relax by the pool and have a decent, sit-down meal and a good night's sleep. Highways in the area are numerous and somewhat confusing. We missed one turn, and it ended up taking a 1/2 hour to reach a restaurant aroudn the corner. But there were several good options in the area, and it worked out.

Horrible from Beginning to End

I recently stayed here for the first and last time. They were very inexpensive and now I know why. I stay in this area frequently and like it, but this hotel is a loss. Some of the staff tried to overcome the problems, but there's too many. The building is old and falling apart. I was in two different rooms (because they had a very loud weekly hotel-sponsored party with live music outside my window when I had requested a quiet room), and the air conditioning did not work in either. No matter what temperature I set, it was always 75, except when the sun came in and it was 80. The bed was saggy and the pillows flat. The furniture was stained, lamps didn't work. There was one small drawer for clothing. The sofa was hard and uncomfortable. There was a large pile of trash in the parking lot for 2 days. It's also very noisy on the parkway side. Everything single thing is an extra cost. Internet, in this day and age, is over $10/day. There is no free newspaper. There's no minibar, but there is a $5 bottle of water in the room. Just ridiculous. There's too much competition from nearby hotels who actually value their guests (Residence Inn is my favorite) for any hotel to nickel-and-dime you like this one does. I did book with a AAA discount, and a free breakfast was included, and that was excellent, although the restaurant service is very slow if you're pressed for time. Obviously I would not stay here again and would advise anyone against it. I've never been so glad to get out of a hotel.

the location was great, there was alot to do just a couple of miles away. As far as the stay at the hotel, the staff was very friendly and the place itself was clean. I would definately stay there again and or recommend to anyone.
