We read the reviews and were pretty excited to stay at the hotel. I wish I could give them 0 smiles. We made a reservation for a two-bed room, but got a one-bed room. We tried to get a two-bed room but all they said was "If you made a reservation through Travel Agency, rooms are not guaranteed for two-bed rooms". Well, if they can not provide what they promised why don't they stop taking reservations from Travel Agency We had an air mattress in our mini-van, so we ended up using it. Workers were very rude too. Very unprofessional. I think we will stick with Marriott hotels where we usually stay. They had a very impressive TV setup, except it didn't work. The TV froze, and couldn't even turn it off. We had to unplug both the TV and receiver box to get it to work again.

Needed a hotel over a very busy weekend (Rally to Restore Sanity) and almost every place was already booked. Luckily, we found The Legacy and it was perfect. For an amazing price, this hotel has great customer service, a stylish look, very clean, and has some great restaurants right across the parking lot (Rice N' Roll was tasty Japanese, and Mosaic Cuisine & Cafe, offering some delicious French cuisine; the breakfast buffet at The Legacy was great, too). Most importantly, though, if you're going to visit downtown D.C, this place is within walking distance to Silverbrook Metro Station (literally takes 3 - 5 minutes to walk there). Once there, you have access to the entire D.C. area; it'll take about 25 minutes to get downtown, but the time flies by. If you're looking for a vacation to downtown D.C. and are on a budget, The Legacy is a great value.

Absolutely AWESOME boutique hotel, located just three blocks from the Twinbrook Metro station. Run 100% on windpower! Amenities were wonderful, including a complimentary breakfast buffet that we weren't expecting - huge bonus! Business center with internet available just beside the lobby. Hotel staff were eager to please. Wonderful experience - highly recommended! Great value for price - you WILL NOT be disappointed!

The price seemed too good to be true, but everything was accurate. No smoking in the hotel, environmentally friendly-all this and comfortable, tastefully decorated rooms to boot. Very convenient to the Metro, it is also walking distance to a delightful shopping complex and several choices of cafes, pizza shops and restautants. Staff was extremely helpful and polite.
