My wife & I enjoyed our stay at the Laquinta. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and smelled fresh. Bed was comfortable. They provided a free shuttle service twice per hour to the train station that we rode everyday in to Union station in DC. And were usually at the train station within 10 minutes after we called them to pick us up in the evening. Cont. breakfast was average nothing special.

We got there early and they checked us in. The room they gave us was nice but the bed looked like someone made it up from the previous people that stayed there. I called the front desk and told Manager, she told me to come down to get keys to a new room. When I did she greatly appolgized to me. Because of the impending snowstorm we wanted to get out of Baltimore and needed to check out a day early. Again X helped us out and we were not charged a cancellation fee as we booked through web online. The breakfast area was very clean and it offered limited items but it did have fresh waffles. We will stay here again. Everyone that worked there that we encountered from the maids to the front desk were very nice. The only thing we couldn't get over is they didn't shovel out their guests from the previous snow storm and they were left to get out of the parking spot themselves. They only plowed a path around the hotel. Even when guests left they didn't shovel the empty spot to make it cleaner for the next guest. If we had a car we would not have been happy, but, would have understood because we come from an area used to this kind of snow and they are not. They don't know how to handle this amount of snow as the roads in and around the Baltimore area proved it. This was all 2 days after the storm ended. But don't let this stop you from staying here in the winter. The beds were very comfortable. Coffee was very good. We enjoyed our stay and will stay here again.

I had originally booked 2 double beds as my son might be staying (but he couldn't), then changed to a king early morning of trip and spoke to woman at the front desk who assured me there would (of course) not be an extra charge as it is the same price listed...However, when I arrived the desk clerk (at 1AM) told me that I could not change it to a king without an upgrade charge....I explained that I had spoken to her coworker (or maybe HER?) earlier in day and was told that there was NO additional charge as even the online site is the same price....She said no and of course I told her that I would just take the double beds....THEN she said that she would go ahead and waive the additional fee and let me have a king bed..How ridiculous was that!!! Almost fraudulant....Additionally, the shuttle driver from the airport was prompt but never got out of his seat to help me with my 2 suitcases up the stairs! ..I was travelling alone and there was no one else on bus....I carried them up myself until we got to the hotel when he offered to help me with one...probably to get a tip in case he was being watched??? Not good customer service by any means...The hotel itself and room were just fine thought...

Needed a place close to the airport where I could arrive late and leave my car safely. This met my needs. The room was clean, service very good. The shuttle to and from the airport was very prompt. Next time I fly out of Baltimore, I will stay here.
