Written by Jeff Heath
The Four Seasons Hotel, located in historic Georgetown, is the only hotel in Washington D.C. ever to receive AAA's Five Diamond Award. One of only 58 hotels received this distinction
in North America for 2001; the Four Seasons has received this prestigious award every year since 1990. The hotel recently completed a $25 million renovation that added 60 luxury suites and completely updated the existing 199 rooms. The hotel is known for the personal art collection of hotel owner William Louis-Dreyfus. Over 1000 pieces of original artwork hang throughout the hotel and have been collected over a 30-year period. The collection includes works from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.
